Q:I need to ckeck my answers to the following problems against yours :
1) A half-wave power supply has a 120V, 60Hz transformer
with a 36 V secondary winding.A silicon diode converts
the transformer 's secondary ac voltage to pulsating
dc. What is the approximate peak value of the dc
pulses across a load resistor Rl ?
2) An electronics hobbyst connects a transformer having
a 25.2 V center-tapped secondary with two 1N4002
silicon diodes in a full-wave rectifier configuration.
What is the approximate peak value of the dc pulses
that he can expect to see with an oscilloscope at the
output of the supply ?
