Q:I need help on DQ 1 for particapation. Week one XBIS 219 class. I need feedback on this students response.
Heres the original DQ question.
Choose one of the organizational departments, such as accounting, finance, HR, and so on of a business. What is the role of this department? What types of information does the department need? How does the department use that information?
Well I will take the finance sid of the business that I work for. I work for the Postal Service. The responsibility of our finance department is to monitor stamps. It monitors how many stamps are sold, it monitors how many stamps each post office has. It also monitors the businesses that have postage due accounts and business reply mail. the information that they need is the ledger from each post office. They can go online and view each office. they can look at the reports from each day and know how many stamps are sold and what each office has left in their stock. The finance side of the post office also looks at each deposit that is made by different offices. they basically monitor any kind of money transactions that go on. There is a nightly report that is printed at every office and it reviewed on a regular basis
