Q:For School . I need help with DQ 1 week 4 Hum class for particapation.
Heres the original question. I need feedback from the students Dq 1 response below it.
How did the childhood experiences of Siddhartha Guatama (Buddha) lead to his questioning of the spiritual practices of his time?
I need feedback from this students DQ 1 Below.
Buddah was born into great wealth and luxury. He was very sheltered in his young life, and never knew of the great suffering that was going on all around him. When he was shown the four truths, he became so distraught that he abandoned everything in his present way of life, his wife, his son, his wealth, shaved his head, donned course clothing, and began his journey to seek what he perceived as the ultimate truth. I can see where coming from a very sheltered life and witnessing the sadnesses that are so much a part of life, he would be distraught. He wanted to know what was real in this world and what was not. I think he felt that his life of luxury was not really real. Therefore, he put himself through many great physical and spiritual trials, seeking what is real. It appears that he finally found a solid ground for his beliefs and developed a very large following for what he believed and what he stood for.
