Q:Spanish banks could have been drawn to internationalization as a strategy for any one of a number of reasons, including the need to transcend slow growth in the domestic market, the possession of distinctive capabilities or brands, the desire to exploit interest rate differentials, the need to react to the internationalization of competitors (herding), and the pull of clients (including multinationals) expanding into other countries. Tell in your view what is the reason that ultimately explains the internationalisation of Spanish banks in Latin America.
As part of your answer to the above you are invited to reflect on:
1. Whether authors provided enough information on the internal and external environments.
2. Was there any attention to ethical issues
3. Was there any consideration on the way in which profits were generated ever addressed by the author(s) of the case?
4. Was there any concession made to diversity?
