Directions: Correct any errors in any of the following statements, providing details or examples to justify your corrections (some statements may be completely correct, some may have one error, some may have more than one error). (Basically, I need to identify if each one is true or false, and if it is false, find what about it is not true, and correct it so that it becomes true.)

1. Romantic Thinkers, believed art should be representational, and artists should either depict a scene of urban life or portray a prominent local citizen whose morals and accomplishments provided an instructive example of the culture's greatest virtues and possibilities.

2.While Enlightenment philosophers focused on civic engagement as the basis for citizenship, Romantics had a sentimental approach to national identity, as did Lincoln when he spoke of "the mystic chords of memory" that bound Americans together.

3. Andrew Jackson's presidency is a case study in the enduring influence of Puritan and Quake ideology into the 19th century, since many of his objectives and policies harken back to Northeastern colonial calues, especially his belief that states are subordinate to the federal power.
