Q:Hi,
I am writing a book about my great-great grandmother and my great grandmother who were Cherokee Indian living in the era of the late 1800's. All I know is that they had a fear and hatred of Europeans. I know some history but not enough to comprehend their fear and hatred.
Also, my great grandmother ran away and settled in Chicago. Maybe someone could help me determine what means she may have used to get there and how was she receive once she arrived in Chicago by whites.
