Q:

The air pollution index (from 1 to 25, with 25 being the highest pollution) takes into account the amount of carbon monoxide in the air. A random sample of 38 readings taken 1 hour before sunset had a sample mean index reading of 9.2. Assume the population standard deviation is 2.3.
