Q:
Consder Exercise 13-7-a. Overhead application rates are calculated at the beginning of the year as (Total budgeted overhead costs divided by Total expected activity base). Calculate the overhead rate per direct labor hour.

NOTE: Type your answer as a dollar-and-cents amount without the dollar sign (in the format 9.99 or 99.99).

Consider Exercise 13-7-b. You should understand that the Total Cost of a manufactured product consists of materials costs, direct labor costs, and overhead costs and the Unit Cost of each unit of product is calculated as the Total Cost divided by the number of units.

Calculate the cost of each coffee mug produced.

NOTE: Type your answer as a dollar-and-cents amount without the dollar sign (in the format 9.99 or 99.99).

Consider Exercise 13-7-c. Calculate the total cost of all the coffee mugs sold.

NOTE: Type your answer as a dollar-and-cents amount with a comma and without the dollar sign (in the format 9,999.99).

You should understand that the Cost of Goods Sold plus the cost of goods still in invnentory at the end of the period equals the total cost of goods available for sale. Given that total cost of all coffee mugs available was $2,340, the value of ending inventory is the difference between that total cost and the dollar value of cost of goods sold you calculated here.
