If they are so gung ho about having Spanish as part of our nations language why would they feel the need to protest in English?<br> I asked several of the participants that took part in the march down Main Street in the town where I live and they all said the same thing, We wanted everyone to know what we were saying, the things that we want, and the things we demand. I responded with, So why not say it in Spanish and have banners stating what you want and demand in English? That would make it much more effective of a protest to me.<br> Others that were in the group just claim not to speak English at all, even though if you ask them something in English they can answer. I was told that they could answer because they know important key words, which I can understand. I know some Spanish, mainly the bad words, so that I can attempt to understand what they are looking for or trying to accomplish. Being in sales I picked up on terms such as prepaid, number, and the Spanish numbers one through ten. This helped me understand what the customer was trying to accomplish. In my job one of the things that irritates me with some of the Hispanic Americans would be the fact that when they come in and want you to pull up their account they will give you four different identification cards until you find the one with the correct name for the account.<br> I would love to have that ability, what you do not like that name? Wait here is another I.D. card will this one work? I mean I am far from racist but it is very irritating for the rest of the Americans working to improve their credit scores for a Hispanic American to walk in with no less than five different identification cards with social security cards to match!<br> I came into this assignment thinking that before long we were all going to have to learn Spanish and be bilingual like most of Canada.
