Preview: ... mn. For the "2b base6 = 17 base8" question, we really need to convert everything to the same base. But since we humans don't think with "3 fingers on each hand", we should be really careful. The "2" digit in base 6 is "twelve on our fingers". so... "twelve fingers plus B fingers" - take off your shoes, maybe :) The 1 in base 8 is eight fingers and add seven more fingers for fifteen fingers. ...
