Q:
Two rainstorms occurred in one week in a certain area. In the first storm 20 mL of rain fell per hour, and in the second 30mLof rain fell per hour. Rain fell that week for a toatl of 75 hours for a toral rainfall of 1850mL. How long was each storm. I know that you use x + y = 75 and 20x + 30 y = 1850. I don't know how they get the answer of

I know this is the answer because it is in the back of the book but how did they get this answer??


1st storm= 40 hr
