The benefits we provide are: workman’s compensation, office malpractice insurance, simple IRA retirement program, dental benefits for the employee and their immediate family members, health insurance, vaccines, uniforms and their care, computer training, unemployment insurance, and disability insurance. Other benefits would include six paid holidays, two sick leave days, four days of paid vacation for employees in their first year of employment, and eight days of paid vacation for employees after their first year of employment. Paid maternity leave is a significant benefit to most female employees. When a new baby comes into a family’s life, money is the last thing they should worry about. We want their 3-6 weeks to go smoothly, so that’s why we are offering to pay them during this time. We chose these benefits because they better fit employees, and your needs. Benefits are not only important to employees, but important to our company also. When an employee is sick, they need medical attention as soon as possible so they can get back to work sooner.
Orienting New Employees
We, in HR, feel that it is important to address some sensitive issues during your early employment with our company. Recruitment is the process of deciding on the most excellent applicant at a right time and place. It is imperative that the staffing be done appropriately, so that the finest candidate is selected. The hiring process is not a solitary act but it is fundamentally a series of techniques, or steps by which, extra data is confidential about the interviewee. To make a correct hiring decision is one of the important tasks. It is important that in the selection procedure, appropriate selection is made and the finest applicant is chosen. While hiring an applicant, it was well thought-out that the applicant was well eligible; he or she had met the needs and qualifications of a business and in addition had some previous familiarities. Throughout the mental aptitude test and psychological examination it was perceived that how the interviewee had responded to the prearranged circumstances. BNET Editorial stated, “After an interview is concluded, it is good practice to write some notes about the candidate, as well as your impressions, while the conversation is still fresh in your mind”(N.D.). The applicants with a superior communication skill were favored. New Employee Orientation Various issues such as lack of understanding or knowledge and expertise about processes, systems or new technologies, low level of productivity or efficiency among the employees, poor customer service, resistance to change or adopt new systems, etc. will indicate a need for training. Training might be required in circumstances where new projects need to be started or enterprise or division wide technology implementations need to take place. These issues are identified by working closely with the various departmental heads and managers in the organization whom are closely involved with the personnel and employees at all levels. Further, in order to initiate a major corporation wide training program or a strategically important training program, management will be an important source for identifying such needs. The prioritization of the training needs from the above-mentioned sources will be based on various factors such as urgency of the situation with respect to effect on revenues or other factors of strategic importance to the firm. Requests made by top management, time required on each of these requests, results of cost-benefit analysis of these training programs for the entire organization, and so forth. Training Proposal For the Accounting training, it is very important that certification exams be required as specified by company and per legal rulings. The training for such certification will be mostly instructor based from specialized trainers from the company who possess strong knowledge about Accounting. In-house training from the HR department might be required to remove any resistance to change, or to prepare the employees for this transition phase. To enhance the efficiency of the employees as requested by the company, a combination of instructor based and self-paced training program using techniques such as motivation sessions, team building exercises, personal meetings and sessions and other techniques to boost the morale will be used. Such training programs are of ongoing nature and progress side-by-side with other programs and use a combination of techniques. Employees are given sufficient time to assess and improve themselves and adopt better practices. For the positions above and subordinate to this position, even though many of the methods or requirements may be the same, some degree of customization will be required for each case as each job is unique and has different set of responsibilities and duties as well as objectives. For example, the job position senior to or above this on ...
