One company KRI, which is making such receivers, gets an offer from a competitor AGT to make high definition receivers; Sirins objects to such an agreements. AGT sues Sirins for interference. <br>Issue: Has Sirins interfered in the business transaction between KRI and AGT? <br>Ruling: No, the court ruled that there was no tort committed by Sirins. <br>Analysis: By prevailing on KRI to break off the discussion with AGT, Sirins had not committed a tort. For interference to take place, AGT must show that it was in a business relationship with KRI, that interference by Sirins was impinging on those relations, that purpose of Sirins was to harm AGT and Sirins has caused injury to the business relationship. As these points have not been proved the complaint was dismissed. <br>Minority Rationale(s): If AGT can show that it had a business relationship with KRI and Sirins had a harmful intent then the court would have taken a different stand. <br>Comments: <br>Protecting one's business interest through legal means does cause a tort. <br><br>Questions: <br>1.
