I need help understanding the process of collecting the like terms to find the equivalent expression. the espression that needs simplifying is : [3(x+2)+2x]-[4(y+2)-3(y-2)]. I know the answer is 5x-y-8, but please explain what you do with all of the and the in each step simplifying the expression.
